What families ask us first.

What does the wali actually do?

Your wali gets his own account. Every proposal reaches him before it reaches you; he can approve it or decline it on your behalf, but he can never accept for you. Once a chat opens, he can read it at any time. His job is to see and to stop; the decision stays yours.

Can people see my photos?

No. Nobody sees your face by default. When someone requests a photo, you decide, and you both see each other at the same moment. You can withdraw access later without them being told. Screenshots are blocked throughout the app.

What happens to my CNIC?

Your CNIC is used to verify that you are who you say you are, so that every profile on Mehram belongs to a real, identified person. It is never shown to other members and never appears on your profile. See the privacy policy for retention details.

What if I don't have a wali to add?

A wali can be a father, brother, uncle or another trusted elder in your family. If you have nobody suitable, contact support@mehram.ai and we will explain what we can do; we do not open accounts without a wali, because that is the whole point of Mehram.

Is this a dating app?

No. There is no feed, no browsing, no matching by looks, and no private chat. Mehram exists for one thing: marriage introductions that go through your family.

Can I use it from outside Pakistan?

Yes. Mehram works in your browser anywhere. Families in the UK, the Gulf and North America use it to find rishtas back home and abroad. Verification currently uses CNIC or NICOP.

How many introductions will I get?

Up to three a day, only from families whose criteria you match and who match yours. Before you pay, we show you how many people currently match your criteria, so there are no surprises.

When do I pay, and what does it cost?

One payment: PKR 4,000 by bank transfer or PKR 4,500 by card. You pay only after you are verified and only after we have shown you your matches. No monthly fee, no renewal. Walis are never charged. Reading and declining proposals is always free.

What if nobody matches me?

If no wali-approved introduction happens within 90 days of your payment, we refund you in full. Terms are on the refunds page.

How do I leave?

Delete your profile in two taps from Settings. Your biodata, photos and conversations are removed permanently.
