Privacy and safety

Private by default.
Not by setting.

The protections below are not toggles you have to find. They apply to every member from the moment you join, and nobody can switch them off.

There is no directory, no search and no feed. Your biodata reaches only families whose criteria you match and who match yours.

Members do not choose who they see. Introductions are made by the system, a few a day, and always in both directions.

Throughout the app, in every photo mode. This is enforced, not encouraged.

City only. Not your neighbourhood, not a distance, not a map. There is no way to work out where you live.

Your first name appears only after a wali has approved an introduction. Nobody sees it before that.

Phone numbers, emails and social handles are blocked in chat. Calls happen inside Mehram so no number is exchanged.

Hidden by default, shared one person at a time, revealed to you both at the same moment, and revocable without them being told.

Reviewed once by our team to confirm you are real, then removed. Never shown to other members, and never to your wali.

On every profile and in every conversation. Blocking stops all contact including calls, permanently, and we review reports within 48 hours.

Meeting in person

When two families decide to meet, that happens outside Mehram. A few things worth keeping in mind, whichever app brought you together.

Meet somewhere public the first time, and let your family know where you are going

Nobody on Mehram should ever ask you for money, a loan, or help with a visa. Report it if they do
